Stock series 5 weber

Hi. I'm looking for a picture of a coolant line to and from the weber intake manifold water jacket under the carb. I can start at the w/ pump but my heater is already fitted to head? Thanks for any help.

Hi. It's a stock 1725 series 5 weber 2 barrel dgv water jacket under carb. I was thinking on the heater side flow to split with heater back to head. Thanks

The series V 1725 came with dual Zenith Stromberg CD150 for carburetors. There is no "stock series 5 Weber" setup. People use various intake manifolds to use the Webers with the Alpine engines. Posting a picture should clarify what you have.

4 pictures it bolts up identical. Only it used an alternator. Thanks

I took this off another Sunbeam all the hoses were taken off and cut. So I have no clue where they go. Thanks

Glassman,

Just for information, there is only one hose used on that manifold for coolant flow, the short one on the front to the water pump.

In the original usage, the hard line is a direct connection to a fitting on the lower rear of the cylinder head. Since the sV manifold had no water jacket, the heads don't have that fitting - either a blanking plug or weren't even machined with a hole for the fitting.

If you try to use a hose to that hard line on the "banjo" fitting, you should support the hard line to prevent vibrations from loosening the connection and causing a coolant leak.

I appreciate your wanting to heat the manifold, but there isn't a real gain except in cool to cold weather. There's also noticable performance drop when the manifold is heated.

A previous similar discussion -sort of. Pictures, also.

Thanks husky drvr I thought it was right to hook up. I have a solex manifold that is the same sooo. I'm going to scrap the plan and rest easy. I'm hoping the weber will work out better.
