Does anyone know of a reliable machine/auto shop experienced with rebuilding the oil pump on a 1592 engine? I have the replacement shaft and rotor. It doesn't appear to be that difficult but shops I've visited who claim to be British car experts are not convincing me. Nobody in my area that has experience with Rootes/Sunbeams

Check the TEAE guide to the pump rebuild.. I think you can follow it and do yourself with appropriate success

I have a new-in-the-box oil pump with screen and cover for 1494 and 1592 engines. PM an email address and I'll get back to you with pics.
