I don't know that it's a wise decision given that I can't even dial a carb in but I figured it's a good way to get rid of a bunch of money real quick. I was thinking of a turbo before but I figure that a supercharger (I'm thinking a Vortech) might be easier to plumb. I've got another 2.8 in the garage and I'm wanting to add a supercharger to it. My big plan is to do the heads as Jim has done to his, maybe do the 2.9 crank (sheesh, now that I read the other post maybe a 4.0 crank ), forged pistons to bring it in at 9.0 or 9.5 to 1and I'd also like to go with fuel injection. So, that should be enough to keep me going for a weekend or two eh? I'm wanting some advice as to what the best set up would be for engine management etc.
In the beginning I was thinking of converting my current set up (Holley carb) over to fuel injection with a management system in place that could be tuned to a supercharger later. Also, what about going with a coil pack set up rather than distributor? I know it's going to be a blast figuring out a pulley system but I imagine that that will be the least of my worries.
Anyhoo...any wisdom / advice greatly appreciated.
Have a great weekend,
Bryan
