Hello All,

Would anyone have photo of the lower window pad that is used to regulate how low the window sits? Access by two lower holes in the bottom of the door. Series iv car. I do not have the piece.

I have attached an article by Chris Barker for adjusting door glass positions.

The adjustments using the two holes at the bottom of the door move the glass fore & aft and in & out. Are you missing the pieces visible in those bottom holes?

No i have the front quarter light channel and fasteners and the rear. It is the bottom window stop that looks like a piece of angle I think and is lined with or horse hair or sponge. Two little holes towards the bottom rear of the door are where is it attached

I need probably two stops. one for each door. At present i am working on the left hand passenger side (RHD car). a previous restorer used a creative weld on the Quadrent that does not really work as the window cannot bottom out. i would imagine the right hand will be the same fix used

Thank you, that is what I am after. I never knew what they looked like. I guess i could fabricate something but does anybody have a set they do not require? I cannot find anything listed with any of the sunbeam suppliers.

OK, I have a pair from some spare doors I had. Not pretty, but neither were the ones I refurbished in the photo I posted earlier. One is bent and can easily be straightened out. Then wire brush and paint them and glue on a pad of some sort. I think I used a piece of felt weather strip. The original material is on these I have if you want them. Just pay shipping. The first photo below shows where they mount.

PM me an address if interested.

Yup. I overlooked them on a strip down of a door for parts last year that was damaged beyond repair otherwise. They are all that way apparently.

Hello and sorry for the delay to this thread but the outcome took some time. Thanks to all who replied and a big thankyou to Rixter to all the effort he went to, for providing me with two used bottom stops from his spares. US mail put them on the slowest ship they could find to reach me here in Australia (it took a month) and there tracking information was very misleading, but they have arrived!.
