Series IV 1592

I had this up here a while back and I still have it. Anyone interested in a 1592 engine from a Series IV. I will
keep this for one more week. Time has come for it to leave, and while I hate to do it, it will go for scrap if
no one wants it. This was a running engine when I took it out of my car. This will have to be picked up at
my shop in NY state. PM me with your interest.
Thanks!

The series IV 1592cc engine block is the very best of the 3-main blocks. You guys should consider getting it.

Very interesting. I had heard that the SIV engines were good, but didn't know that. Hopefully
someone can make use of it 'cause I'll never use it.

I don't have any details like that.
One can see the difference by comparing it to an earlier 1600 block. That's what I have done.

Well should be across the range... It's interesting they did it so late as the 1725 casting would have started not long after.... I guess the moods were getting old ...

Also.. I wonder if the lighter weight was just a side effect of them creating more efficiency of material used too cut costs.. optimised the design to use less .. or modify the moulds to make them faster / less complex..

I'll have to ask a friend with a bunch of blocks to do a "spot the difference" check... What is the weight saving?
