Series 2 handbrake

Try soaking it in automatic transmission fluid for a couple days. Then put it in the vise and work it with some PB blaster.
 
Is it the handle? cable? or both?
If the handles chrome is good, work to free it. Cables are easily replaced if frozen.
 
It's the pivot on the handle. I managed to unfreeze the button. Ill try the transmission fluid over the weekend. Thanks guys
