Rootes Heritage Day 17th July 2022

Today was Rootes Heritage Day at The British Car Museum at Gaydon, here is a quick video clip that we broadcast live from there earlier that will give you a little taste of what was going on. In a couple of days time we will post a fully edited video showing some of the amazing Rootes cars that were present together with some input from their owners as well as footage from the museum itself and a nice message to us from a motoring celebrity . There were some absolutely outstanding cars there today including TWO Sunbeam Venezias!

Thanks for posting this Tim! Made me wish I were there too. How many Rootes cars were there? And were they placed in the parking lot so randomly or was that planned? Usually the same class of cars seem to group together. Such a great assortment of cars!

It was planned, 130 Rootes cars were there by the end. All Rootes cars were welcome and the Rootes Archive Trust organised the event so that there was one empty space between each car and its neighbour (no risk of doors banging into other cars etc) all shows should do it like this.

We have just posted a fuller video that gives a much more in-depth look at the cars, interviews with owners and a brief look around the museum itself (which is a great venue full of rare or unique cars). If you ever find yourself in England, check this museum out.
