Have new SS rear door glass channel, installed with contact cement and on workbench it too tight - can barely slide it up/down side glass on workbench. Has anyone else run into this, ? should I look/use a thinner material, widen my channels, other. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

No actual experience with the SS rear channels, but you need to use a rather thin fabric glued in to guide the door window on the rear. SS used to sell this proper fabrics as well...

I always leave it sit with the glass in the channel for a couple days then try it again, generally that helps. I also use the old fabric instead of replacing it too.

I found a solution and hope it works well. I ended up using 2 inch wide Velcro, the fuzzy side. It gets the glass, perfectly slides easily and had a sticky back to hold it in. The sticky pack challenge we got through that was just a little thought in time.
