Pulley pulling tools

I'm looking at removing timing chain cover but would appreciate advice how to remove the crankshaft pulley. It's held in place by about an inch and Three quarters hex nut attaching to the crank shaft. Then I guess I need a puller. Any thoughts on the best tools to tackle this. All I can think of is a pipe wrench?!?
 
I just noticed you posted to the Modified forum category. Do you have an Alpine engine or something else?
