I see a new background behind the Invasion XIII at the top right of the site. If I didn't know better, it does look rather similar to the Christie clan tartan, but after some more reviews I think it tis a Stewart Royal, but hey, that might be wrong too. But it does appear the kilt idea is gaining steam and support.

There was talk and I'd just like to know if 1.) we're wearing them and 2.) are we going to try to wear the same, or just whatever we get? I like the idea of the MacAlpine tartan. My problem has been finding it in fabric by the yard. I have someone who will make it for me. Prices per yard are quite high, lowest I've found is $50 a yard ( I'm told you need 2 or 3). One place ( a genuine Scottish company) told me they'll make one with any fabric I want, for almost $500.00!!!!! I know, that was a bad example, but most are still pretty high. It's not like I belong to a pipe band and will be doing parades and Scottish games all the time.

So any info, discussion or decision would be appreciated. Think it would be neat.

I suggest you get it lined when you have it made. Wearing a kilt properly requires 'intimate contact' with the kilt fabric and if it's bare, scratchy wool, your wedding tackle will be itchin' somethin' *itchin'. Trust me on this. ;)

You raise an interesting subject Sam. The club could use some diversity.

Maybe there is a Tilted Kilt restaurant in Columbia, and we could recruit show car show girls.
