Need 1725cc pistons - Rebuilding engine

Hello...I'm having my SV engine rebuilt (British Columbia, Canada) & remaining parts to find are the 1725cc pistons (4). Engine hasn't been bored yet & mechanic indicates that 0.6" pistons will work, or, install of sleeves with regular size pistons. Any suggestions as to a supplier would be great. Other parts are coming from British Parts in Aldergrove, BC...Appreciate your assistance, thank you...

I think you meant 0.060" oversized.

0.060" pistons became rare beasts. If you can't find a set how about sleeving the block ?

I would say .060 aren't hard to find.
Rootes post vintage in NL sold them
JP pistons are making them new.
Quite a few on eBay UK.

Rootes Parts in Holland only makes up to 0.050". JP pistons have poor oil ring design from factory. Oil ring switch to proper ones is possible, but requiring additional money. Check the picture:

Talked to mechanic today & engine is in my SV & running ! fuel pump needs rebuild, carbs set up plus electrical upgrade at some point. Best news I've had in long time. Speaking of electrical, I'm pretty sure running on 6 system, what does it take to upgrade to 12v ? Hope to have photos of SV in month or so...Spring has sprung !

Your Series V is running on a 12 volt system. The problem that you may have with it is that it's at
least 59 years old and been through many different owners.
That said, I sell a complete rewire harness that I designed with Rebel Wire. It has 12 circuits with modern
fuses.
