Manifold height questions.

A couple of questions for you guys, how much taller is the Offy manifold over the stock manifold with the adapter. How tall of an air filter can you put on either setup?

I don't have an Offy, so can't answer that question. I am running a 2.8 out of a 74 Capri with the stock intake and 2bbl carb. I modified the Capri air cleaner by cutting the sides off, - just retaining the top and bottom plates. I run a 2" air filter in between the plates and it all fits under the stock hood. Others results may vary - the motor mounts used can obviously affect finished height.

Thanks, you think it has a 1/2"- 1" clearance.
Is your engine in you car? If so make a couple of little towers out of tin foil. Put on e in the centre of your air filter and one on each side...close the bonnet.
When you open they will be crushed to the height of the bonnet and give your clearance.

Then measure the difference in height to the new manifold

I'm working on an MGB. I am modifying a stock manifold and was curious about hood heights compared to the offy and the stock 2 barrel manifold. "The mod may be helpful to Alpine guys." With some simple hood clearance and what kit you are running it may give me an idea what height the manifold can be.
