Looking for An Electric Speedometer for my Modified V6 Alpine

Dan, I haven't tried it yet but got one like this and adapted to fit in Smith gauge can.

I just yesterday saw a GPS speed transmitter that has a cable drive to run an old style speedometer. Advertised in Summit Racings most recent flyer catalog in with some parts I just got.

Dan,
I have a GPS speedo that was used in a V6 conversion. It's sitting in a box on a shelf. Yours
if you want to try one. Have a Smith /Jaeger ring that I made so it fits the dash.

Junkman, That sounds interesting for a stock early Series but what I am looking for is the later Series non cable drive.

Looks nice. They are made in Taiwan too! A friend send me an e-mail with a set of gauges he put in his V6 that is very nice but cost a lot more. I will look at all of the recommendations

NO! Speedometer is what I am trying to get. I found the Speedhut GPS Gauge Kit #1, a bit expensive.... like it thoughIMG_1682.jpeg

Hi Dan. I have used approx 6 sets of Dolphin gauges over the years, mostly in v8 Jags but also 6 cvl MGB and Rapier. They are on the inexpensive side and I only had 1 failure in all the sets which was immediately replaced by the supplier. They are easy to program and they also sell a gps version. One thing to check, not usually talked about on cheap sets is the readability of the odometers. Some fade to invisibility in direct sun.

Electric Speedometer for my Modified V6 Alpine

Dan,

Just for clarification, are you seeking a GPS driven speedometer or a speedometer which can read and interpret the speed sensor (VSS) signals produced at the transmission and delivered by electrical cable to the speedometer head?

Just curious,

Maybe a unit like this? Not inexpensive, but seems easy and effective.

I'm in the middle of getting some MKII Tiger GPS speedometers made... they would match the small numbers of a SV also...
Waiting to alter artwork as below and no build date yet
