License plate hanger

I have one of these I got off of a series 4 Alpine. The picture shown below shows a newer rubber that allows the plate to flex up rather than bend the valence.
Curbs steep driveway all can really hurt...
Where'd this rubber come from?

The S3 introduced the rubber mounted plate bracket. Early SIV may have had them . But later went to the metal brackets.

A friend in Australia made repros of the rubber mounts many years ago

Guess that's likely where it came from. I have the solid one on my car and I took it off after hitting it on the ground once.
