Thanks, Eric. Things were looking a little dicey here in Southampton yesterday evening - the projected path went just a mile from my house. However, it shifted east during the night and is now expected to miss Long Island completely; or at least the eye will. We'll still get a lot of wind and rain and will likely lose power at some point, but those most at risk locally are the people right on the water. Fortunately, me and my Sunbeams are far enough away. I hope everyone else is as lucky.

Just thought I would update this. We really dodged a bullet here on Long Island. While yesterday was a wet and windy day, we routinely have wetter and windier days and we never even lost power. I don't think we have any members in the storm's ultimate destination, but I hope all are well there.

Henri is tracking for Nova Scotia, scheduled to hit Tuesday. Have had rain most of this afternoon from the outer bands. Overall moderate rain amounts and weakened winds expected. As Jim says, looks like we dodged a bullet on this one as well.
