Gearwrench Bolt Biters

Kevin recently recommended tools from the Apex Tool Group. I encountered an old rounded off bolt head securing the bottom of the passenger door front window channel frame. Regular length bolt extractors wouldn't fit into the small opening at the bottom of the door. I considered getting deep length bolt extractors, but I ended up picking up a 5/16" Gearwrench Bolt Biter, hammered it onto the gnarly bolt head and then cranked the bolt out. So a recommendation from me for the unique design of the Gearwrench Bolt Biters.

Turbo sockets are also an excellent tool set for old car work. Not cheap, but well worth it.

Cool. Thanks for the tip, Mike! We should actually think about keeping a thread for “cool tools” that relate to Sunbeams.
