I use an electric fuel pump to supply my Weber 32/36. Rated at 2.5 to 4.5 psi. Works very well.

We have the mechanical pump on one of our Alpines and electric low pressure pump on the other. On the electric pump one we also have a regulator to ensure that the pressure stays low. It is important to have an inertia kill switch fitted to the car with an electric pump. If you don't and you have an accident it keep on spraying petrol. That doesn't end well.
