front jack stand points

Today the S IV goes on jack stands for brake overhaul.

Rear is no problem. Floor jack under the pumpkin, stands under the axle.

But the front?

If the floor jack is put under the coil springs to get lift, then where goes the jack stands?

I usually lift from under the crossmember, place jack stands under the frame where the X member attaches to the side rails. This leaves the wheels hanging free, but is okay for most work.

Bill - that worked well.

Pulled the calipers and rotors.

Caliper pistons a bit rusty, and stuck. Will take them to a shop tomorrow.
