The pictures included here are of a piece of the frame that often time rust and become weak to the point of being dangerous if the need arrives to lift the Sunbeam utilizing the factory jack. Pictured is the Left side which is an exact mirror image of the Right side.
Several Alpines and Tigers I have examined have these same rusty conditions. I noticed also that the design is "boxed" from all sides and does not have a means of adequately draining moisture.
I removed this piece from an Alpine long ago that was heading unfortunately to the scrap yard.
My thought was to replace one of the badly rusted front rails in an Alpine that I purchased back in 2009 from a Gent in Tennessee. It has been in storage since awaiting some attention.
Another thought came to me that it is possible to have some of these fabricated for other owners in need of a "replacement".
Is this Front Rail (right or left) available from any source known to any of you?
