Flasher switch (series 2 / SII)

I have an original series 2 flasher switch in the car (Lucas 37SA, part 34332B, dated Feb 1962). It is in poor condition, and when I took it apart, 2 long (approx 3cm/1.2") springs popped out and I can't for the life of me figure out where they belong. Does anybody have a close-up photo or two of a S2 flasher switch? The parts list (publication 660992) has a lousy diagram of this part.

N.B. this unit had been hacked around by previous owner... it is possible that the springs were loose in there and don't actually belong in there!

There are two small springs located on the long screws that hold the wiper brush onto the clamp housing. This is an NOS switch, so I know they are correct. Hope this helps.IMG_1032.JPG

Thanks @Gary T. No, I didn't mean those two springs, but your picture has helped enormously! The two springs in question look like the ones in the end of a ballpoint pen, so firstly, looking at your picture and all of the diagrams I can find, I can safely deduce that they did not belong in there!

Secondly, my unit does not have the piece sticking out of the top of the unit which connects with the horn ring (circled in the attached picture). Having recently purchased a period-correct steering wheel, I was wondering how the horn was going to work... now I know! I've seen this same design on other flasher switches, but the Alpine diagrams of this part are indeterminate, so your photo has confirmed my worst suspicions :-/

I don't suppose anyone else reading this has a S2 flasher switch for sale?

FWIW, I have sourced a NOS flasher switch which I believe was designed for a Hillman Minx. It fits and works fine, with the only issue being a sharp upward bend in the indicator stalk, but I'm assuming that a bit of careful heating and bending will straighten that out.
