We have been invited to join up with the Peachtree MG club's British car show they do every two years in Dillard. Here are some photos and info from the last show in 2022 https://peachtreemg.com/Dillard-2022
We will be the featured marque at this show too. Registration and hotel information is here.
This is a very large British car show and there are some incredible driving roads too. There will be plenty to see and do so don't miss this 3 day event!

Thank you! Many years ago we had 2 or 3 Invasions (SOS) at the Dillard house with many Sunbeams there.

The event T shirts feature a Sunbeam on the back!
Here is an update from the organizers
Lots of SC & GA cars are registered, but no Sunbeams from anywhere. I'm concerned partly because the Pottery Tour, Wine Tour, and Art Class are filling fast and I don't want folks who want to do those things to miss-out.
The T-shirts with the "Sun Beaming" picture on the back are selling well. Hope you've taken a look at them.

Hope that many of you can go to this great event.
Early registration expires on Aug 15 and will cost more after that date.
Here are the Sunbeam classes

Sunbeam Tiger
Sunbeam Alpine
Sunbeam Alpine-non Rootes Engine (this is for V-6 and V-8 engine swaps in an Alpine Body)
Rare Rootes (this is for Hillman Imps, other Hillmans, Sunbeam Harringtons, and other obscure Rootes cars!)

It takes 3 cars to make a class.
So far there are 2 Tigers, 2 Alpines, 1 modified Alpine V6, and 2 Rare Rootes
Our last Invasion at the Dillard House over 15 years ago there were nearly 50 Sunbeams there!

Ahh, yes! Invasion III, a fantastic time was had by all. We followed the gaggle of Alpines on the drive. The smell of gasoline and exhaust thru the oil haze was terrific. A real highlight was TT's impromptu tranny/OD disassembly by LED flashlight was especially remembered. Most guys had no idea what they were or how great they were.

I registered for the Dillard Show (Saturday Event). Waited for the day I could leave home which was Saturday morning. Rain was in the forecast several days.

Rained a bit here in Greenwood,SC Friday night, but I was determined to head to Dillard regardless. Set the alarm for 5:30 AM Saturday.

I was awaken around 4AM by thunder storm. Back to bed to get up at 5:30AM. Still rain. Decided to haul Blue Boy because the rain and most uncertain the amount.

Picked up my Son Daniel at 6AM, Hit the road with still some rain. Drove about 50 miles, nothing but rain and more rain. It became more heavy and the road conditions were bad.

We decided to turn around an abort the trip finally after much discussion.

Made it back home, went back to bed for a few hours to be awaken to bright sunshine.....what a trip.....Hope you folks that were in Dillard, GA enjoyed your day.

We missed you Dan. Yes there was some times of drizzle rain here and there the last two days but show day today had a light mist and then cleared up nicely. Sadly only 4 Sunbeams showed up. A very well organized event with many very nice British cars around all weekend. We had a great time and the Dillard House is just as nice as I remember!

I had thought that if we would be able to attend a meeting, Dillard would be it. Not so. However, Barb did mention that we were missing a great Alpine get together and that we had attended a great one at Dillard many years ago. Is that rubbing salt in the wound?

Man, I hate it that only four Sunbeams showed up. Dan decided he had to quit or grow gills. I am busy with testing and appointments for upcoming cancer surgery. Would sure like to hear why others did not make it.
