hi all,

I can find torque wrench settings for everything except the diff drain plug, what do people recommend? and I guess same question for the filler plug or is that just "wrist tight"

i have a 1964 alpine

I believe they’re both just tapered pipe plugs, so just tighten until it doesn’t leak. Snug, plus a bit, should do it.

There should be a washer on the drain plug. I think the original was a copper crush washer.

Yes, you're right, Mike. The drain is NOT tapered, but a standard thread - I stand (actually.... sit) corrected. The copper washer should be replaced, but can be annealed and reused, if needs must. Tightness is, again, snug, but with an extra tug. These plugs really don't need a lot of torque.
