Crash pad finishers

I inadvertently installed my dash crash pad without putting the finishers on first.
Parts CCA170-171 -172
So I'll be taking it off and doing it correctly.

Just curious what are these finishers for?

Some things are what they say they are. These actually "finish" the sides of the dash where you see it, and the underside
of the dash where you don't, unless you look.

I've attached a pic of the dash. If you look at the map light, the finisher is just to the right by the dash cubby end.

Cheers!

Thanks Steve.
That photo really helps
I have the original metal side pieces, but the black covering is shot. It'll be easy to re-cover them. I have the full center section, which is a piece of cardboard.
