Hello again to you alpine experts ( I am getting there
),
My car has this issue that when I press the clutch of put it in gear it looses around 4-500 rpm's and has cut out as well. I am currently replacing leaking gaskets on oil sump so I decided to check the thrust washers under 3 bearing after checking the end play and is was substantial as you can see when you look at the washers, 1 is 2.19 and the other is 2.30 mm which combined is over a mm too thin from the specs I have for the washer thickness.
I cannot feel wear on the crank ends where the washer connects so my questions are ?
1. Would I be wise to get oversized washers
2. Does the black scarring on the thicker of the washers tell me something I should be aware of the check
3. The slot for the washer on the one end seems to have a zig-zag which is not apparent on the other - should the crank come out
Thanks again
Michael
