Covered Bridges

Really enjoyed the covered bridge tour set up by Robert Jaarsma at the United. We passed a dump truck on the extremely long bridge.
Then I saw this in the news:
A fully loaded dump truck on a 3 tone max bridge.....

Yikes. That's one heavy truck!

My wife and I created a covered bridge rally for the Philadelphia MG Club last year... it was a fun rally. But recently we also had a bridge nearby that took a bad hit:

Glad it worked for you, I just got "MSN"
It was a link to a story about a dump truck loaded with gravel, crossing a covered bridge in Maine. It far exceeded the weight limit, and plunged right through the floor into the water beneath. Amazing pictures. Google is your friend if my link did not work.

I drove a lot of dump trucks fully loaded. Always knew what my load was, knew and respected load range for the bridges. Avoided the attempt to give them a try. This man is extreme FORTUNATE he is not dead.
