Has anybody tried fitting one into an Alpine? I have an antenna that was installed prior to 1971 when I purchased the car located in the front left fender.
Thanks

Can you provide PIC's ?

I did one in the right "A-post" with the motor mounted behind the kick panel a long time ago. Will try to fine the pictures.

No pic but if the antenna was lowered it would be in the area in the kick panel as there is a large oval for access.

This thread might be helpful. http://forum.sunbeamalpine.org/index.php?threads/motorized-antenna-placement.7868/#post-143277 I am afraid I don't have the article with the template anymore, but maybe someone else can locate it. I found an NOS antenna on eBay years ago; I think this was basically it, although I don't recall mine also covering CB. The key is the design with the remote motor. https://www.ebay.com/itm/Harada-Tri...777210?hash=item265d7615fa:g:hPsAAOSwRPhgV7te.

Here is a photo of the hole that I drilled in my SIV based on the TEAE instructions. I won't be near the car for a couple of weeks to get measurements, if needed, but maybe someone here will be able to locate a copy of the August 1981 newsletter.
