Alternator Bracket

I'm in the process of replacing my water pump on my 1967 series V. No big deal, old pump is out I'm just waiting for delivery of the new one. The existing bracket that mounts the alternator to the engine block appears to be incorrect for this application. The bolt pattern is correct for attaching to the 1725 block and the alternator alignment for the fan belt is also correct. The bracket leg that leads up to and attaches to the water pump is not consist with what I have observed in the WS manual. Photos of the bracket are attached. Anybody recognize this bracket and perhaps know what Rootes car it belongs to? Any help would be appreciated.

Tom

That is a SV alternator bracket that mounts to the side of the engine mount. I have only seen one other
that had that "ear" on it. That was on a 38000 original owner car that was just as it left the factory. It was a very late production car.

After you get it back on the road for a few miles, I suggest re-torquing the bolts holding the bracket. I had the bolts quickly loosen after switching to the Hitachi unit.
