Adjusting Front Eye Bolt of Leaf Springs?

I noticed today that the front mount is slotted, for the front eye bolt for the rear suspension leaf springs. Mine is currently set in the most rearward position. I initially thought it might adjust how much the rear springs are arced. But on looking, and seeing the rear is not fixed, that means all it can do is move the differential forward and back in the wheel arch. Mine looks very centered. So no need to mess with this!
