Just thought id post the progress of the next resurrection.
This was the 67 I bought in September. Allegedly sitting since 1980. Patina justifies the commentary.
The images I'm posting concentrate on body and paint. The drive train is all from the 65 I built last summer.
Eastwood 2K Epoxy primer
Kirker 2K high build primer/sealer
Kirker Ultra Glo single stage urethane with Ultra Lock metallic stabilizer. (Also converts single stage to base coat.)
Kirker Black Diamond clear coat
Kovax Super Assilex paper (800, 1000) Super Buflex (1500, 2000, 2500)
Rupes polishing compound (DA coarse, DA fine, DA ultra fine)

Looks great! I’m doing nearly the same thing with my Alpine, but in the original red. Hardtop is painted, still working on the body and paint. Should be ready for assembly in May.

Top notch work. Looking great. More info on the Ultra Lock please. Does it just give tooth for the clear or is there a chemical bond element?
Thanks!

Ultra Lock is basically an additive that limits the metallic particles from combining once it hits the surface. it also allows the single stage to be effectively clear coated. Worked amazing.
