2026 SAOCA 25th Anniversary Invasion! Back to our Rootes!

I retired in early May and have since been working as a full time lumber jack felling and cutting up trees to make way for my lake cabin to be moved on to a new basement. I would love to have gotten my Alger finished and brought it to the invasion, but I need to get the cabin set up for year round occupation before the end of October when winter will arrive in northern Minnesota. Have fun everyone.

I have a quick schedule update for everyone: Kevin McLemore (puff4) is going to do a tech session on 3D printing tomorrow at 5pm. I don’t know about the rest of you, but I am fascinated by the possibilities of 3D printing but know absolutely nothing about it. So, I for one will be paying rapt attention to “3D design & printing of parts: Where do I start?”

I will print out final schedules when I get to the hotel later this morning and have them available for all. See everyone soon.

Presentation and dinner last night, followed by some impromptu trailer fun. A good time was had by all!

While the help - and many, many more offers of help - was much appreciated, it was not my idea of “fun”. I’d much rather wrench on my Alpine. Fortunately, I’d did get to have some of that kind of fun, too. And, again which much appreciated help from the gang!

Just made it home after a very long day on the road! (Left the hotel at 5AM.) My thanks to everyone who made the event a success and to everyone who helped make my safe return home a success, too!

Great event, even with an hour 1/2 rain. Good catching up, fogging up the SM Estate windows during the rain caused alot of talk outside the car! No its not what you thought. Found out he window was down on the truck all night, luckily the storage container next to it kept most of the rain out!

Got home today about 4pm with no problems along the way split the return drive into 2 days 1167 miles round trip to the show in Dayton

This has been hinted at before on the forum, but it is time to make this real and start the serious planning. 2026 will be the 25th anniversary of the Club's founding and the Board would like to mark the occasion with an old fashioned, national Invasion! We considered several locations but...
