2026 SAOCA 25th Anniversary Invasion! Back to our Rootes!

I have hotel reservations, and had hoped desperately to have my freshly refinished Alpine there as well, but alas, below is where we are today - close, but no cigar. There’s no way I can complete it in the time remaining. That being said, I will be there, just without any Rootes Group accoutrement. Looking forward to seeing you all!

Just booked my hotel reservations, easy to do with the link. I'll be there Thursday to help out wherever I can.

Fit the driveline a seat.. an aero screen into the frame holes... lightest and fastest alpine at the event. Only nesd the basics to get it there! ;-)
 
Just a little more than a month away! Get your hotel room booked and the Sunbeams tuned up. Bring your spare parts to sell in our parts room and get ready to have a fun weekend.
 
Our 25th Anniversary Invasion is fast approaching. So fast that we’ve not yet publicized a very important date: our room block is up at the end of June! That means that anyone booking after June 30th does not get our terrific rate of $134/night - including breakfast for two! – at the DoubleTree by Hilton Dayton Fairborn. I just checked and the same room/breakfast package is currently $269/night for the general public; twice what we will be paying.


And, if that isn’t enough to get you moving, the Board met last night and decided that anyone booking their room before the June 30th deadline will get free registration to the Invasion, spouse/significant other included! It will be $50 after that, plus $25 for your spouse/significant other. Children will be free! Registration includes the welcome reception and the Saturday night banquet, so this is really a bargain!

And, just to add icing to the cake, we still have 40 of the club hats left and those will be given to the first 40 people who reserve their rooms!

More information will follow shortly, including an online registration form for the Invasion. But, for now, hotel reservation = Invasion registration.

One last thing for now: Don’t forget to register for the Dayton British Car Day if you are planning on bringing your Sunbeam. Registration for the event is only $25.00 in advance and includes free British Car Day t-shirt if received before 7/18/2026. Sounds like a great deal to me! https://britishcardaydayton.com/

Invasion Schedule Update!

Thursday July 30-10 AM-4 PM Visit USAF Museum. Visit Carillon Historical Park. Both are self guided.
3 PM Swap meet and hospitality rooms open at our host hotel
4 PM Sunbeam Tech Sessions at host hotel meeting room
6:30 PM Welcome Reception and meet and greet with club's founding members at our host hotel
Friday July 31-9 AM Swap meet and hospitality rooms open at host hotel
11 AM Group drive to Young's Jersey Dairy in Yellow Springs for lunch and ice cream!
1 PM Group drive to The British Transportation Museum and The Packard Museum from the Young's Jersey Dairy
4 PM Swap meet and hospitality rooms open at our host hotel
Saturday August 1-9 AM Leave hotel to attend the Dayton British car show
6:30 PM Invasion Banquet at our host hotel
8:30 PM Swap meet and hospitality rooms open at host hotel for the last time
Sunday August 2- Sunbeams head for home. Thanks for joining us!
