Good observation. The intake side of the engine is the problem at this point. From manifold to combustion chamber. The exhaust port tunes up with less work. You can blow a hole in it if you're not careful. The intake side of the engine will tune up with less work once we break it down enough to figure out where to start.Very interesting! There has been previous opinion here that the biggest hurdle to improving 2.8 power is the exhaust side of the heads. I didn't get that impression from your videos. What are your thoughts?
What carb are you planning to use with your new manifold?
Thanks for sharing this.
I geuss you havent watched the first 2 parts. It is a modified stock intake. Getting the intake low and having enough plenum is the trick. Getting the air turn above the carb and entering the carb cleanly is just as important as what happens below it. A taller air cleaner is always good if you can pull it off.Looks like a factory intake! Quick Fuel has a nice 450 cfm carb. It is quite a bit lower than the Offy intake and the carb linkage may have to be bent or trimmed to clear the valve cover. Should help with hood clearance.
