1963 S3 Alpine

Close Guy .. but the headrest only has one mount whereas the the ones in the ad have two. Not sure you could get two Mustang seats in an Alpine and keep the center cubby, though I could be wrong. Maybe I'll ask the owner.

Well ... the owner has no idea as to the origin of the seats. ... Maybe Miata seats? ... They look a little like Toyanvils (John) seats in his S2 .. though I'm going from memory.

Yes, found quite a few that were "close". I am thinking since it is on ebay.uk
It has to be something out of a car that is not exported to us. I could not find anything close to it.

AS far as I know, they're not Miata seats. Those, at least the ones I've seen ( and I own a pair)
have integral headrests.

Good catch Michael. These are from an MG TF
The 90-2000s MG seats are a popular swap in the UK.. lots of them rusted away ... And they fit without much effort.
For me higback seats in 60s convertibles always look odd... But .. they are safer

Thanks everyone for the input ... My S2's seats/ upholstery is in fine shape but the foam is starting to go south as I'm seeing foam particles under the seats at every cleaning. Not real crazy about the stock seats and have been looking into replacements ... might try and have the originals customized to be a little more form fitting .. I tend to slide around on the originals especially after I wipe 'em down. The high backs are safer but as Michael said they don't quite look right to me either. The S3/4 might be an option as well.

The series 3/IVseats are very comfortable when in good condition .. and very adjustable... And not a hug e amount of modifications to fit the runners to the earlier mounts...
