1959 Rapier Manifold to Down Pipe Brass Nuts

I need to get new brass nuts to secure my down pipe to the manifold. Does anyone know if they are the same as is used on the Alpine? I see them listed for the Alpine in the Sunbeam Specialties catalog. I am unclear on the size and thread of the studs. Any help?

I’m going to say they will fit. I have been swapping parts and fittings between an Alpine and Rapier engine ongoing and haven’t found any nuts or bolts used in the same application that didn’t fit each other.

C-R,

Finally got to measure the stud threads on a late Alpine exhaust manifold - they are 5/16x24. If that matches your studs, then the SS parts should work.

If your studs are 5/16x18, they may have been changed at some point. I think you can pick those up at a reg parts store.

Hope this helps,

It is the fine thread no doubt. I am always confused about nuts and bolts. Some things are whitworth and other things are SAE. Thank you for that.
