15" Mini lites

I have 14x6 mini lites. My rear axle is from a 70s postal jeep. I added rear disc brakes to it. I have not had to make any changes to the body work to accommodate my 195r60 tires.58350.jpeg20211001_143644.jpg

Yes, it works great with the Miata motor & trans.

John. The reason I put that out there is your car has a bunch of lovely well developed mods from interior, to engine bay to drive line... Some developments that match existing sunbeam geometry and spec some upgraded.

Often the questions are for guys with the stock setup so what works on your car may not be as applicable to a stock car.

Your rear may have been shortened to the stock axle width or maybe different, you might be running non stock springs and shocks etc... so maybe worth adding what changes you made related to the specific questions.

Do you suppose the axle makes a difference
If the face to face of the mounting surface of the hubs is the same as stock...no.... And no and if the springs are stock..no...

But I think you are better to stick within the stock responses .

As discussed the 15x7 is a common fitment on the rear but ...but wheel offset. Thickness of the wheels hub.. type and size of tyre etc all play into it...and again.. your cars ride height with its springs and what the pinch seam of the wheel arch lip is on your car

My axle, springs and different are all stock. I will be adding limited slip gears but I don't think that will make a difference. I appreciate the insight. Im not as mechanical as many of you guys are. I paid some for the conversion after I had the car for 20 yrs

The LSD won't make a difference... Iirc you have a gripper or quaife from the UK?

What wheels are you planing on getting ? Panasport, VTO ? Both of them will sell you a squared or staggered set with the correct back spacings for a sunbeam

I think I have the gripper which I paid a dear price for it. Hasn't been installed yet, but I'm going to have that installed when I put rear discs on the car which is Dans conversion kit. I was looking at the mini lites that are on alpine innovation Uk. Do you have any recommendations?

I'd personally buy the panasport wheels over the UK minilites, I think the rim detail is nicer ...just my .02
