    Sunbeam 2000 build

When I was a kid my uncle had a 1967 pontiac gto. After he got married and started a family he thought he should sell it and get a more family friendly car. The guy he sold it to crashed it about a month later. My uncle bought it back and it sat under a tarp in his garage for the next ten...

    Header tube Dent repair

I will be using headers with that type of modification still in place. They have been ceramic coated after this pic was taken.

I am very familiar with the no room for anything dance. Wishing you the best of luck.

    My Next Endeavor!

You miss counted the number of cylinders on my engine. That is a ford 302. It extends well back of the original firewall. It is currently sitting in the engine bay, but it has to come back out. I can't get the headers on past the engine mounts. I am going to have to take the front...

    My Next Endeavor!

A previous owner made the firewall and trans tunnel mods on my Alger project. Here is what that looks like from above.

    wiring harness

You won't regret it. You can see some pics of my install in my Alger build thread if you look for it.

    wiring harness

I chose to replace the entire wiring harness in my project. I think the added safety and reliability of a modern harness outweighed any consideration of originality, but of course my Alpine is far from original.

Making a new rear brake line

I borrowed the typical crappy tool from Autozone to fix a brake line that got destroyed on my boat trailer by a tire blowout. It sucked, but got me back on the road with working brakes.

Making a new rear brake line

I got fed up with my original cheap flaring tool, and bought an only slightly more expensive lever action tool from Amazon that makes very reliable flares every time.

    2025 Sunbeam Alpine ??

The crazy wording on the license plates is a clear give away to the AI origin.

    Now I'm in for it.

As fall rolls around, I will shortly have a little more time to work on my project. I have finished up the bulk of the wiring for my dash. I have started thi king about the wiring g for my electric fuel pump. I went ahead and ordered a relay kit to power the pump as well as a switch to...

    Alpine valuations

It isnt just our cars that will be unloved in the not so distant future. A high-school classmate of mine has a collection of 6 muscle cars that he has restored over the years. I recently talked to him about them and he told me none of his kids are remotely interested in any of them, and they...

    427 Conversion?

Yes, I had not noticed how much they had trimmed of the bonnet opening.

    427 Conversion?

Very interesting. My Alger has the same paint scheme, but what jumps out to me is how much further back my 302 sits compared to this install. In the pic above, none of the valve covers extend beyond the firewall. I bet I have 2" of valve cover that extends beyond the firewall.
