    Correct Radiator Cap

    I have a Series 2. The stock Series 2 Expansion Tank uses a basic flat Radiator Cap. I will be running a Series 1 Expansion Tank....which uses a taller Radiator Cap. Does anyone have a source for said cap? Does anyone know the height of the correct cap? Thanks!

    Thank you all for your responses. Seems I should take my factory pressure plate to a local clutch shop who are happy to look at mine. Wish the vendor would have given me the heads up that THAT pressure plate was not correct for a Series II. Grrr... Thank you!

    Already painted it aluminum silver; oops.... Radiator Cap - The OLD one that came with it is about an inch tall. It looks & seems right in length when I marry it to the neck. Will look for a new one that length? Thanks

    This helps....as I think I have the folder part positioned ON the slider frame; versus how your picture shows it positioned. I shall remove the slider & start again. Your mention of the rubber hose....Would that be to give the Clamp a thicker area to clamp down on? And THANK YOU!

    My screw was a flathead. I just stupidly loosened that nut when removing the water pump & then didn't realize I needed to pop off its back plate & reattach it before remounting the water pump. The welded screw would make it more full proof for dummies like me; ha!

    Smart move to weld that screw to the backing plate! I had to remove the water pump & plate to cinch up that nut & reinstall. Fortunately the motor is still on the engine build stand; so easier than in the car.
