Dear Friends,

Recently chose to give up riding my Goldwing, but not ready to stop having fun! Looking for the right Alpine conversion. I've been "interent friends" with V6 Jose for many years and he has given me a few leads. Hope to hear from someone who is ready to sell or move on. Thanks, Doc

V6 Alpine

Are you looking for a complete, running car? Or might you be interested in finishing up your own car? I have a '66 Alpine and all the right pieces ready to go together. Jose can tell you about my first V6 conversion....this is my second one. I have too many projects going on and something has to go. I would like to see this one go to a good home. I would be willing to sell for the dollar amount invested to date. I would also send you a detailed list of what I have if you are interested. Thanks.

Hey Doc, Have you seen are heard about Jim E's Series 3 conversion. That is a great car and he has it for sale. Please contact him for further info.

Cheers,

I've got my SIV for sale (not on E-Bay yet, just locally). It's a daily driver with automatic tranny. Needs work in several areas*, but not a lot of rust. $3500 or a decent offer...

There're pros and cons with using an automatic for a V6 conversion, from what I've read on this forum. The main plus is that little modification of the bellhousing is required. But then you'd have to figure out the transmission mounts, which are located differently than the original's would mount. There's a thread on this site telling about it. I've not attempted to do this, as I wanted to keep the car as original as possible.

Happy hunting (and I'd definitely check out Jim E's conversion!)

*Paint is faded, needs a radiator repair, needs a new soft top, heater cable needs fixin' and the speedo cable needs to be installed.
