I used a nice oak veneer. I pulled the dash and used contact cement to bond the veneer to the plastic, then I used a two-part clear to seal and make look pretty.IMG_4198.JPG

If you fit a wooden dash it is nice to fit a proper cubby box with a door. In ours we have USB sockets to charge phones and la light.

Tim, what are you using for hinges on the cubby door? I don't want anything to show.

Bob,

It comes with very small hinges already fitted to hinge the door downwards.
