Is there such a thing as too many?

Hello, I thought I'd make a post to share my small herd of Sunbeams. I'm based in Saskatchewan and parts are fairly hard to come by so I've been scooping up every bit and piece I can find.

The white series one in the pictures is going to be a full restoration. The red series 4 (with the blue roof) has a seized engine and damage to the frame. The plan is to put a frame under it and make a gasser style drag racing car out of it. The blue car (affectionately known as the Mossbeam) is probably more plant matter than car at this point... I've suggested making it a garden feature but the family is not as in love with the idea as I am. The white series 4 shell is going to be a sign for our shop.

I've been spending a lot of time reading and all of your posts have been very helpful so far, so thank you!

Speaking as someone who has had 49 Little British Cars over my 65 years, and I currently have 5.... No, there is no such thing.

Your "mossbeam" appears to be a series 3 GT... Rare car
You're right that it's a series 3, I'm curious how you can identify it as a GT (they're all rare in this part of the world). It's really a shame it was let get to the state it's in. I'm pretty ambitious but that car is *far* gone.

The early style front end and has the stayd for the rear seat area as opposed to soft top.
If you are going to scrap it save those parts for someone. And the special top hat spacers off the inner doors

Hi Folks-
Too many? naah- There's one answer to the "Too many? " question- Build more storage! At least the LBC's don't take up too much space. I could only get one Chevelle in the barn but got it relocated and now there's a Spitfire and a Healey 3000 in the same space! Had to build a 6 car shed a few Summers ago and I'm running out of space again. Logistics.... You could also branch out into British motorcycles- 4 in the space of 1! Don't ask how I know! Had to get out of town a while back due to space concerns. I was forced to pass on a sweet 67 Jag S Type that was only missing the engine and front seat- for $200.00 delivered! Living in town is far too restrictive! Found a wonderful old house on 25 acres with lots and lots of outbuildings, They, the chicken house, the garage and cow shed and the grain bins are full of this and that. So I guess to directly answer the question- 5 is not too many!

I'm certainly not planning on scrapping it, especially if it's a rare unit.

The vertical supports in the rear "seat" area between there and the boot were not there on the ST.
