First, sorry about your loss. Know that many of our members who love their cars the most came into the Sunbeam family in the same way, so you are definitely not alone.
Second, I'm about 10 minutes from Marietta and would be happy to invite some other local owners to go see the car and bits to give you some idea what you have.
I know of a few shops in the area who might do this kind of work, but depending upon what stage it was left it in, I might recommend one over another. If you prefer sharing pictures with the group, that would be helpful too.
An alternative I might suggest is to have the car and a trailer of the bits shipped out to you. I know a guy who would probably do it for somewhere in the $2000 range (not a quote, just a guess). At least that way you can use your favorite local shop and keep a closer eye on the progress. And once the car's done, you'll likely have to pay about that much to have the car shipped home anyway.
Let me know which way you'd like to go. And despite the circumstances, welcome to the family.
