tips/tools for door seal replacement?

I am starting to replace door seals.... hard as old bubble-gum! working on removal, and I thought I would ask if there are suggested tools or techniques to get the soft foam seals along the back and bottom to stay in the ridiculous 'tracks'. The bottom has me worried as it is wavy, has a little rust, and not looking like it might capture the foam seal as designed.....

any tips on getting the foam to seat in the tracks, and stay stuck n areas where the track is not in great condition?

I didn't have ANY problems with this; just cleaned the door's surfaces and applied glue as if it were contact cement. I only had one shot at it, as once the seal is glued into position, there's no redos. Here it is, eight years later, and the seals are still adhering like I put them on yesterday.

hhmm, there seems to be glue on the seals between door post and windshield, but didn't seem to be any under the seal that goes along the back of door and under the bottom of door. The seals themselves are very hard and cracked, and I have had to scrape out the channel with a screwdriver.... but no glue as far as I can tell.
