This is a stunning look: an historic racing and engineering landmark, beautifully restored. I had the wonderful good fortune to examine this car while it was in original, unrestored condition; spent an entire afternoon crawling over, under, and around this piece of history. It was both highly informative and completely rewarding. Doane Spencer was an engineer of genuis, as well as having a tre-mendous eye for hot rod design.

That this Tiger could, in the capable hands of Shelby American driver Dave McDonald, beat factory prepared Cobras at Riverside Race Track, bears testament to Spencer's savoir faire in the racing arena. In my opinion, Doane Spencer is in a league of Very Few with Mark Donohue and Jack Gurney, such are his achievements in both engineering and design. The fire-breathing, track taming Tiger, and his Deuce Coupe, named by no less than Hot Rod Magazine as the Number One Hot Rod of the classic rodding era, bear testament to a unique and extraordinary combination of talent, concept and execution.
