I umpired for years and can tell you that he feels like total crap. You make the call you see and when you later find out you were not even close, you question everything. How could I miss that? etc. Jim Joyce is a good umpire and I feel for him. He knows he blew it and like a Man he apologized to Gallarga. Good for him. I also feel just awful for Gallarga, I watched it, what a heart break.
And you are absolutely right, anywhere else in the world and he does not get out alive.
