Wheel / Tire Combo

I'm close to getting my V6 Series 4 conversion up and running. I'll be needing wheels and tires soon. Is there a preferred oversized wheel / tire combination that allows for front suspension and brake (stock) clearance without having to modify the valance?

I'm leaning toward a 14 x 6 with 185/65 tires but any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.

wheel/tires

Recently purchased wheels and tires for my Ser V Alpine with stock suspension and brakes. I went with 15X6 by VTO with a 24mm offset.
They look great and mounted up very well. I also wanted a large diameter tire to reduce engine rpms on the highway. So I ended up with 225/60/15 rear and 215/60/15 front. They fill the wheel wells nicely and still leave room for body roll, suspension travel. Had to trim front valence and minimal rear lip.
The offset of the wheels is very important when making your selection. My tires are tall and wide but I like it! Good luck and be sure to test fit at the tiire store before selecting. Discount Tire was very accomodating during mid week, would not try it on a busy day though.

I don't have a V6 (yet!) but I have 185/65 SR14 tires and they fit very well. I had to slightly bend the lip on the front valence, but that was it. Note: they are too wide to fit in the wheel well in the S3-V trunk, so my spare tire is a stock wheel with 165R13 tire on it. The rolling radius of the two tires is virtually the same, although I have never needed the spare.
