look on the block right behind the fuel pump, there you'll find the numbers that you can compare to the data plate on the shuttle if they match you've got the engine that came with the car(in most cases) you can then go to the production build dates under tech data and find the year.

The engine is a 1600, which puts you probably as a SIV unless the car sat a long time at the dealership.

The advertised power was about 85hp.

My Series III block has a date right on it. Not sure if it's cast in or a seperate plate - I'd have to look closer at it. Don't they all have that?
