If you've not seen this previously, it is quite stunning: Not just the changes in world car manufacturing leadership but also the always-moving digital graphic technique.

Note particularly what has happened to the UK, and Russia, and other European countries. And note, especially, what has happened to China. It was not even ON the Top 10 list for the first 50-60 years of this chart. But watch what happens, and how FAST it happens, once China decides to get into the automobile business.

Dan, what's interesting is both the Chinese and indian markets mostly serve the domestic market .. UK Australia Japan all relied on export due to smaller domestic population... A city like beijing or shanghai has the total population of Australia but in 1 location.. Add to that the wealth of those cities and you have a stringer market than many countries in just 1 cityn
