Sunbeam Alpine & Tiger: Installing a hood (Bonnet) release safety wire.

Not everyone will want to add additional wires to their Alpine or Tiger but enough owners have been confronted with the problem of a hood that is locked in the shut position that we think it is worth considering.

This is how we fitted bonnet release safety wires to an Alpine earlier today, inspired to do so by a thread elsewhere on this site where the owner is struggling with a locked shut hood that he just can't get open.

The Benjamin Franklin axiom that “an ounce of prevention is worth a pound of cure” is as true today as it was when Franklin made the quote. Although many use the quote when referring to health, Franklin actually was addressing fire safety.
I think I'm going to get right on hooking up a wire to the bonnet latch of my SV!!!
Thanks for the great tip and video.
