This short video shows how we fit the boot lid, springs and support mechanism to our Alpines. There will be other ways to do this, the video just shows how we do it. Hopefully it will help anyone else who needs to do this. If you go to The Sunbeam Alpine Channel on YouTube you will find 66 other Alpine related videos covering all manner of restoration and repair tasks that are sometimes required on Alpines. If you are not a subscriber we encourage you to subscribe (its free) as you will then get notified every time we post new Alpine related content to the channel.

Tim, nice one. You are one of the few having identified that the boot hinges are handed. A very common misfit many do when restoring their cars. It does not only affect Hardtop pin fit but also gives additional stress to the hinges & mounting screws itself. Second good one is that you highlighted the flat headed slotted screws fitting where the boot seal sits. Next video should cover the boot lock & rest pins fitting ;-)

There is actually a video covering the boot lock and another one covering the door handles and locks in production at the moment as well as one of fitting a new wiper rack and wheel boxes and one on fitting a locking petrol cap to Series III-V & Tigers. All should be released before Christmas.
