This video shows how we fitted one of the new replacement heater control valves developed by Alpine Innovations to our Series V. The heater control valves have been a problem for some time. We have changed a number of these valves over the years, pattern ones are generally poor quality and don't seem to last very long. This new style of valve fits easily and works well, if it ever fails in the future it is simply a case of replacing a rubber O ring to repair it. Although designed for the Series V it would only require a change of control cable and a bit of re-routing of water pipes to use this on earlier Series cars.
